When I first envisioned Glo Studio, I wasn't just thinking about floor plans or equipment; I was thinking about you. I know how overwhelming it can be to find a space where you feel like you truly belong—a place that nurtures both your body and your mind without the intimidation factor.
I chose to create this studio to be a sanctuary for everyone in Coldwater. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned pro, my goal was to build a space that feels like a deep exhale the moment you walk through the door.
Why I Created Glo Studio
I believe fitness should be an act of self-care, not a chore. Here is what I kept close to my heart while building this community:
A Space for All: I wanted to strip away the "fitness ego." And create a yoga and Pilates studio that was accessible and local. This is a warm, welcoming environment where every body is celebrated.
Total Support: Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the very first time or you’re looking to challenge yourself with an advanced Pilates flow, my team and I are here to support you every step of the way.
Holistic Growth: It’s not just about breaking a sweat. It’s about becoming stronger, more flexible, and—most importantly—more centered.
Why Choose To Focus on Yoga in Coldwater?
At Glo Studio, I often get asked: "Do I need to be in shape to start?" or "I’m already a runner/cyclist; will this really help me?"
The answer is a resounding yes. The reason I’ve brought Yoga and Pilates together under one roof is that they are the "power duo" of functional movement. They don’t just change how you look; they change how you move through your entire life.
Here is why this combination is a game-changer for every body and every lifestyle:
1. The Ultimate "Lifestyle Insurance"
Whether your days are spent at a desk or on the move, your body faces unique stresses. Yoga and Pilates act as the perfect counterbalance.
For the Sedentary Lifestyle: If you spend your day sitting, your hip flexors tighten, your glutes fall asleep, and your posture begins to slump.
Pilates wakes up those dormant core muscles and realigns your spine.
Yoga opens up the chest and hips, undoing the keyboard hunch and relieving that nagging lower back pain.
For the Active Lifestyle: If you’re a runner, lifter, or athlete, you’re likely performing repetitive motions that can lead to overuse injuries.
Pilates strengthens the tiny stabilizer muscles that protect your joints.
Yoga increases your range of motion and aids in muscle recovery, keeping you limber and preventing stiffness from setting in.
2. Built for Every Body Type
I want to clear up a myth: You don’t need to be flexible to do yoga, and you don’t need a "dancer’s body" for Pilates.
Low Impact, High Reward: These practices are gentle on the joints, making them accessible for those carrying extra weight, recovering from injury, or dealing with chronic pain.
Adaptability: Every single movement can be modified. At Glo, we focus on functional strength—the kind of strength that helps you carry groceries, play with your grandkids, or sit taller without effort.
3. The "Strength Meets Stretch" Synergy
When you combine these two, you get a 360-degree approach to wellness:
Pilates provides the Foundation: It focuses on the "Powerhouse" (your core). A strong core is the anchor for everything else you do.
Yoga provides the Fluidity: It focuses on breath, balance, and deep stretching. It teaches your nervous system how to relax, reducing the stress that often manifests as physical tension.

Is This Your Perfect Fit?
If you’ve been searching for a wellness journey that feels personal, encouraging, and authentic, you’ve found it. I invite you to come in, meet our community, and see what makes this studio so special.
At Glo Studio, we aren't looking for perfection or mat-ready bodies. We are looking for people who want to feel better in the skin they’re in. Whether you come to us to find stillness or to find your strength, we’ve built this space to ensure you leave feeling more balanced than when you walked in.

Making the Most of Your Time at glo.
I want your time at the studio to be the best part of your day. To help you get the most out of every visit—both physically and mentally—I’ve put together a few tips that I personally live by.
Think of these as your roadmap to feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected.
1. Set Your Intention
Whether you want to touch your toes for the first time or simply need 50 minutes where no one is calling your name, have a goal. When you know why you’re on the mat, it’s much easier to stay motivated on the days you’re feeling a little tired.
2. Consistency Over Perfection
You don’t need to be here every single day to see a transformation. I always tell my clients: Consistency is queen. Attending just two or three sessions a week creates a rhythm that your body will start to crave. It’s better to show up twice a week every week than five times in one week and then disappear for a month!
3. Talk to Us!
Our instructors are your biggest fans. If a move doesn’t feel right, if you have a nagging injury, or if you’re just curious about why we’re doing a specific stretch—please speak up. We love questions, and we’re here to tailor the experience to your body.
4. Recovery is Part of the Workout
One of my favorite rituals at the studio is the Infrared Sauna. I highly recommend carving out time for a session after your class. It’s not just a luxury; the heat helps soothe sore muscles, speeds up recovery, and gives you a moment of pure, quiet reflection before you head back out into the world.
5. Lean Into the Community
Glo Studio is more than just a place to sweat; it’s a place to belong. Don’t be afraid to say hi to the person on the mat next to you! Joining our group classes or community events is the fastest way to turn a workout routine into a support system of friends who keep you inspired.
Pro-Tip: Arrive five minutes early, leave your phone in the cubby, and give yourself a moment to breathe before we start. You’ve earned this time!
